Hi there!

Join us on Thursday, Nov 5th starting at 16:30 at the Botanical garden’s Kota (grill hut) for an evening where we’ll introduce next year’s board and volunteer positions!

In the warmth and cozyness of the Kota, we will introduce what kind of roles are available and what our active members do in SOOPA. We’ll also introduce our Activity Group called Toimijaryhmä.

We’ll be serving vegan chorizo-potato hash with toppings and tikkupulla (sweet bread dough roasted on a stick over the fire)—so it’s definitely worth coming by!
If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know.

Welcome!
💚 SOOPA’s Activity group and Board

Tule kouluun. Koulu on auki perjantaisin klo 10-15 luokassa YL124. Työskentelemme 45min sessioissa, joiden jälkeen on aina vartin tauko. Siis alakoulumalliin. Silloinhan työt sujui parhaiten, vai mitä :DSessiot alkavat vartin yli, eli 10.15, 11.15, 12.15, 13.15 ja 14.15. Voit tulla mukaan minkä tahansa 15min tauon aikana, työrauhan säilymisen vuoksi et kuitenkaan kesken session. Sessiossa työskennellään hiljaisesti, itsenäisiä töitä työstäen.Hyvinvointituutorit tarjoavat sinulle tilan ja struktuurin opiskeluusi, niin sinulle ei jää sitten muuta kuin hoitaa hommas :))---------------------Come to school! School's open on Fridays from 10AM-3PM in classroom YL124. We work in 45-minute sessions, each followed by a 15-minute break. So exactly like the good old primary school days. Because that's when we all worked our best, am I right 😀 The sessions always start at quarter past, so 10.15, 11.15, 12.15, 13.15 and 14.15. You can come in during any of the breaks, but to ensure a peaceful working environment, not in the middle of a session. In the sessions, we work independently/quietly on our own tasks. The wellbeing tutors offer the space and the structure for your studying, so you are left with merely completing your work :))

Set aside time for independent work in the company of other focused colleagues.

We will work in silence in our own projects. There will be optional pauses at suitable intervals for you (hence the "chilled pomodoro" in the name).

There will be a brief sharing at the beginning and at the end, so the space is also connective and conducive to meet and greet new and known folks.

If you cannot attend this time but would like to be informed of following sessions you can tell me directly by responding to this email. You can also follow the events in OYY's instagram account @oyyhywe.

Warmly welcome!

Have you been meaning to set aside some time to finally resume or start that book that you really want to read? Come read it in good company!

We will have one hour of focused and silent reading and 15 min to share at the beginning and at the end, so the space is also connective and conducive to meet and greet new and known folks.

Walhalla

Keskiviikkona 11.11. klo 17 alkaen järjestetään Soopan kololla yleinen infoiltama talvivaeltamisesta.

Kaikki olette lämpimästi tervetulleita jakamaan ajatuksia, oppimaan toisilta.

On Wednesday 11.11., starting at 19:00, there will be a general information session about winter hiking in Soopa Kolo. This is mandatory for people first time on Soopa's hike, all are warmly welcome!

We will discuss hiking in winter conditions, gear, safety, and how to prepare for a hike. Several experienced hikers will be present, so feel free to ask them any tricky questions. Especially for those of you who are still considering joining SOOPA's Kaamos expedition or planning your own winter trip, this is a great event! But even if you're an experienced hiker, you're welcome to join if you have time. Everyone is warmly welcome to share thoughts and learn from each other.

This event will be held after the finnish meeting, the content will be the same.

Histonin lanit palaavat! 13.-15.11. järjestetään Histombly lanitapahtuma Linnanmaan kiltakommuunilla. Luvassa paljon pelailua, kisailua ja hauskanpitoa!

[FI] SOOPAn jokavuotinen syysretki ottaa suunnaksi Syötteen kansallispuiston 13.-15.11.
Syysretki starttaa perjantaina 13.11. klo 17, kun hyppäämme bussiin yliopiston F1-oven edestä Kolon ulkopuolelta. Sunnuntaina 15.11. jätämme Syötteen taaksemme klo 18 ja palaamme yliopistolle lähtöpaikkaan noin klo 20.

Viikonlopun tärkein ohjelmanumero on yksinkertainen: lähdemme marraskuiseen metsään.
Retkeläiset jaetaan pienempiin ryhmiin lähtijöiden toiveiden mukaan, ja jokainen ryhmä valitsee itselleen sopivan reitin. Tärkeintä on, että jokainen löytää oman tapansa nauttia viikonlopusta.

[EN] SOOPA’s annual autumn trip takes us to Syöte National Park on November 13-15 for a weekend of hiking, nature and good company.

The bus leaves on Friday 13 November at 17:00 from outside of Kolo, next to the F1 entrance at the university. On Sunday 15 November, the bus leaves from Syöte at 18:00 and arrives back at the university at around 20:00.
We will divide participants into smaller groups based on their wishes. Each group will choose its own route. Some may want to hike for a whole day, while others may prefer shorter walks with more time to enjoy the scenery and nature. The important thing is that everyone can enjoy the weekend in their own way. More info and registration: https://www.soopa.fi/soopan-syysretki-13-15-11-syotteelle-autumn-trip-to-syote/

Hei

Tässä kutsu KPTK:n Dekaanin kahville.
Aika: ke 25.11. klo 14.00 -15.00
Paikka: KTK220

Kiitos.

Tervetuloa!

Maija Lanas,
puolesta Päivi Ronkainen
